Project Manager
The interview process was fair and transparent, with challenging questions that were nonetheless easy to prepare for and understand, giving me a good grasp of the role. The Manager and Recruitment team were excellent, providing help with preparation and arrangements.
- Tell me about a tough customer situation you dealt with.
Project Manager
The interview process involved a half-day assessment centre, which was a really positive experience overall. It started with a group activity that was scenario-based with minimal setup. There was just one observer, and they were sometimes on their phone, which was a bit distracting. After that, there was an interview that was personable and competence-based. It's important to know about the partnership behaviours. The recruiting manager talked quite a bit, but that might have been part of the test. Then came a timed presentation on a broad topic. Even though I didn't get the job, it made me want to work there even more. Sadly, they didn't get back to me when I asked for feedback. Apart from that, everything was very professional and friendly.
- All questions were aligned to partnership behaviours and competence based, with some discussion.
- Can you elaborate on the partnership behaviours from a competence perspective?
- Let's discuss the partnership behaviours; what are your thoughts on them?
Project Manager
This was a really uncomfortable interview. They seemed more focused on filling out their documents than understanding my experience or if I was a good fit. At one point, they were both on their phones/laptops while I was answering a question, not really paying attention. I've interviewed lots of people before, but I've never made anyone feel this uncomfortable, even if they weren't the right candidate. It's probably good to see their culture early on, though, because interviews are a two-way street for both the company and the person interviewing.
- Can you describe a time when a team member relied on you too much and what you did about it?
