For this group interview for the Christmas temp position, the key is to generate as many ideas as possible and build upon what others say. If you don't do this, you'll likely be rejected and receive an email within 30 minutes of leaving. It can be tough, but try to come up with lots of creative ideas.

It was a long day, the whole process took several hours. We started with a group task, then I had an individual interview where they asked me questions, and finally, we did a role play call. The interviewers were nice and friendly during the panel interviews.

Technical Behavioral Group Presentation

So first I had to do an online application and then an online assessment test. This test had a bunch of questions about a specific issue and then a list of solutions, and I had to pick the best one and how I'd handle it. Took about 20 minutes. If you passed that, you got invited to the site for about a half-day assessment. I got there 15 minutes early like they said, checked in, and waited with about 12 other people. We all went into this big open room where a guy talked to us about the job and the perks. He told us there would be 4 assessors watching how we interacted and thought through the problems. The first thing was a group discussion with about 6 people at a table, looking at some stats and arguing about the right answer. That was like 10-15 minutes. Then, we worked in teams of 4 on a client issue, which took about 20 minutes. After that, there was a technical test, which was a role-play call where I had to help a customer with their problem and give them the best advice. That lasted about 10 minutes. The last part was a one-on-one interview where they asked me direct questions about myself and how I'd deal with certain situations. After all that, I got a basic email saying I wasn't successful, which was disappointing after putting in all that time and effort, especially since I have a lot of customer service experience and recommendations. I felt I should have gotten more feedback instead of having to chase them for it. This whole process was really stressful and not designed for someone conscientious and self-aware. It felt like it was made for super confident millennials, and having someone watching your every move was daunting and didn't let me show my best self. I can't believe this is considered effective in 2019.
