First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at John Knox Village (Missouri).
Intake Coordinator
The interview process was really simple. I applied on a Wednesday and got a request for a phone interview the next day. I had the phone interview with a recruiter the following Monday. Then on Wednesday, I had an in-person interview with the administrator and manager. I got an offer the day after that. Everyone I talked to was super nice and knew their stuff, making the whole thing easy.
- Can you share an instance where your prior employer was unhappy with your performance?
Licensed Practical Nurse
First you chat with a recruiter who tries to find a good job match for you. Then, you talk to the hiring manager for that specific job to see if they want to offer you a position. After that, someone from onboarding will call you with a job offer. If you accept, you'll meet with the onboarding team to sign your paperwork and any bonus offers. They'll also arrange your physical and orientation.
- What's your approach to handling laziness?
Receptionist
I talked with a really nice lady who asked me about my past jobs and some common interview questions. Then, another woman asked me a lot of questions, all starting with "describe a time". It was a bit tiring to keep telling stories, but it wasn't difficult. It felt pretty casual, like we were just chatting.
- Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a coworker and how you resolved it.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations in a previous role?
Administrative Assistant
The interviewer seemed to be looking down on me, and I felt I was being discriminated against because of my age and race. It felt like they assumed I wouldn't know anything because of these factors.
- Since you haven't worked for a company in two years, do you still possess your skills?
- What are your thoughts on sometimes having to take the lead?
