Account Manager
Submitted my resume and right away a recruiter reached out. I went to the main office for an in-person interview. The vibe was chill. We did some light chit-chat before getting to the main part. It was a pretty fast interview overall. They asked, "What are you looking to do?" and then responded with "Great, this is what we have available!"
- What are you interested in doing?
Recruiter
I put in my application on Wednesday on Careerbuilder. The Director of Field Operations called me the next day for a 15-minute phone screening to see if I was a good fit. He then invited me to the branch for a 30-40 minute face-to-face interview where we got to know each other. 15 minutes after that, I got an email to schedule a phone interview with the Senior Divisional President within the hour. He called on time and asked similar questions to the face-to-face interview, plus a few more, in a 15-20 minute call. Five minutes after that call, the Branch Manager called and asked me the same questions again for about 10 minutes. Two hours later, the Director of Field Operations called to see how I did with the Senior Divisional President and Branch Manager, asked one more question, and then offered me the position. He welcomed me, told me what to expect, and sent my info to Onboarding for the pre-hire process. The whole process was professional, positive, quick, and everyone seemed happy working there.
- Why are you interested in Cor-Tech International?
- In your opinion, where do you see yourself within CorTech in the future?
- How do you handle telling a candidate 'no'?
Supervisor
I was called to go to Sabert in Shepardsville, KY. I had to fill out an application. Then, I was put in a room where the recruiter explained the job openings (there were 2). She kept telling me I would be a great fit. After that, she asked me to wait to talk with the plant manager. Apparently, he had already left, so we rescheduled for the next week. I called 6 days later to verify everything was still as planned. He was still gone, so the recruiter said she would call me. I called again a week later, but got no reply, no email, nothing.
- How do you deal with stubborn employees?
Forklift Operator
They called me up for an interview and we made an appointment. As soon as I started to talk to this person I knew there would be a problem because he spoke broken English and he also spoke Chinese so that was a problem. They did not pay that well for the kind of work I would be doing.
- How is your health, given that this is a heavy lifting job?
