Behavioral Presentation

It started off pretty standard, recruiter call, then hiring manager. After that, I had some panel interviews. They seemed to go well, and I was told I was moving to the final round. The recruiter said she'd get back to me in a week to set it up. Radio silence after that. I followed up three times over the next month, but nothing. Eventually, I just stopped trying, figured I was wasting my time. For a company like JM Family/SET, I was surprised they'd just ghost someone. I get that they might go in another direction, that's fine, but not even a rejection email after getting that far? No explanation, nothing. Just silence. Super unprofessional.

It was a professional and organized interview to see if I was a good fit and if my experiences matched. The panel asked insightful questions about project management and leadership. The interviewers were clear, quick to follow up, and respectful, making it a really good experience overall.

Behavioral Case Presentation Group

So this was like a really intense process, one of the most I've done. Started with a recruiter call, then the hiring manager, then someone who would be a peer. After that, I went onsite for a whole Friday, from 10 AM to 5:30 PM. During the day, I met with the department head, another peer, three people who would report to me, two more peers, and then I did this business case for like 2 hours. Ended with some panel questions. It wasn't that the stuff was super hard, but there was just a lot of it, felt like for a much higher level job, maybe VP or SVP.

Technical Behavioral Other

I had this really bad experience with the Indian Mafia, where they interview people who are actually qualified, but then they end up hiring someone from India anyway. I'm not saying one culture knows more about a specific field, but honestly, most engineers in the US know that some of these folks from India are just faking it. You can tell when someone doesn't really know their stuff when they've got a ton of certifications that mean absolutely nothing, and a master's degree in engineering on top of that. Seriously, master's degrees are just a formality these days, you just go to class, do the reading, and you pass - at least that's how it is in most engineering programs. It's wild how meaningless a master's is, even MIT doesn't offer one. If you've got a decent GPA, like a 3.6, you can usually go straight into a doctorate program at most places, and that's definitely the case at MIT. This just proves that most Master's programs are pointless, basically a way for schools to scam you out of your money. The whole process felt like I was being interviewed by them.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The interviewer asked a lot of nonsensical questions and seemed to lack the basic understanding to even pose them properly.
