Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jio.
Data Engineer
The interview round was quite easy. It started with some basic questions about me and my projects, followed by a few technical questions. They asked about Wazuh and my projects. There were also basic questions on DSA, SQL, and Python programming, all of which were very easy and smooth.
- Tell me about your projects.
- Can you answer some SQL questions?
- Can you answer some Python programming language questions?
Big Data Engineer
The interviewer had a pathetic tone and acted like candidates were beggars. He was loud and rude, which could easily freak out candidates who put in a lot of time and effort preparing and have hopes from the company. It's sad to see such unprofessional behavior. It's useless to have so much technical experience if you don't know how to talk politely. I agree I lacked expertise in many questions, but the interviewers certainly lacked basic manners. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR 'SOME EMPLOYEES' ON HOW TO BE GENTLE WITH THEIR TONE WHILE INTERVIEWING.... CANDIDATES DO HAVE SELF RESPECT. I hope you are hearing this, Jio!
- Can you discuss your past projects?
- What is your experience with SQL?
- Could you elaborate on your knowledge of DataFrames (df)?
Data Engineer
There were multiple interview rounds. The first ones checked basic problem solving skills with scala, spark, python, Spark SQL, and file formats.
- Could you explain Spark Architecture and the process of a Spark application?
