Usually, the first interview is the initial in-person meeting with your prospective employer. Their main goal is to get to know you and evaluate your skills and experience against their requirements for the position. They also want to see if you'd be a good cultural fit for the company. The first interview generally involves these parts: Introduction: The first few minutes are for introductions and getting comfortable. It's important to make a good first impression with your posture, eye contact, and handshake. The interviewer will usually spend a few minutes talking about their company. Interview questions: The bulk of the interview involves the employer asking you questions and listening to your answers, sometimes taking notes. This part lasted about 20 minutes.

I put in my application on the internet and then got a call from them. After that, I had a 30-minute phone interview, followed by a 3-hour on-site interview. The on-site interview was really something else. They just randomly brought in employees to interview me and these people didn't even know what to ask. It felt like a complete waste of my time. After I went through that whole drawn-out process, the HR person wanted me to chat with two more people on the phone. BUT THE WORST PART IS, SHE NEVER GOT BACK TO ME ABOUT IT (OR EVEN TO TELL ME I DIDN'T GET THE JOB). So yeah, I ended up wasting 6 hours of my life on this.

Behavioral Technical

My interview experience at Jinko was a bit of a mixed bag. The recruiter was great and kept me in the loop, and the HR person was really nice and clear about what to expect. But then the technical part got weird. They originally said they didn't need Chinese language skills, and that was fine for the first few rounds. But then, the technical manager suddenly decided they really wanted someone who spoke Chinese. So, I didn't get the job, not because I wasn't qualified, but because they changed their mind about what they needed, which wasn't in the job description to begin with. I do appreciate that they were upfront about it and that the recruiter and HR were professional, but it felt like this change in requirements could have been handled better or communicated earlier.
