I applied online and then the general manager reached out to schedule an interview. It was a pretty simple process. We talked about my background, including my sales experience, and they also asked if I had any experience working with cars, which I didn't.
- Can you share an instance where you dealt with an unhappy customer?
- Could you describe your previous sales experience?
- Have you ever worked with cars before?

I got a call from the Manager on a Friday, he told me to come in on Monday at anytime. The call was super short, so short I had to call him back to confirm details. I went in on Monday, and found out the Manager wasn't even in that day (even though he said he would be), so a Supervisor interviewed me instead. I waited ages in their lobby, not a big deal but I could see everyone outside just chilling and not working, then he finally showed up and took me outside to a tent for the interview. I usually don't think all guys are sexist, but this guy totally was. I answered all the questions perfectly I thought, but when he asked if I had automotive experience I said no, but I had seen that it's not required and Jiffy Lube offers training, plus the job wasn't for the Crew, so I told him no and he just laughed. You could tell he wasn't taking me seriously so in the end he just shook my hand and said he had more interviews to do and left. Not impressed at all, obviously. I thought I could bring a new perspective to a male-dominated company with a nice smile and great personality but I guess that means nothing anymore.
- What was the most difficult thing you had to learn in your previous role, and what was the easiest?
- Can you describe the hardest and easiest things you had to learn in your last job?

Great interview experience. I answered some questions and got hired on the spot. The GM I spoke with at the beginning was great. Just a heads up, they expect a lot for the pay they offer. The issue is that they treat customers like ATMs, which makes customers angry and they don't come back. Then the district bosses wonder why sales are down. There's a lot more to say, but I'd be here all day. You've been warned. Avoid this place at all costs.
- Tell me about a time you provided excellent customer service.
