They should have done a pre-screen to know to waste my time. I knew the moment I was told "I don't have anything in my portfolio that is ISD related," I knew it was a wrap. I was asked a question and instead of me answering the question, I guess the interviewee thought I needed help answering the question and did it for me. It was a complete waste of my time. I have my other suspicions why they wasted my time, but I will leave it at that. I did receive a follow-up email that they are still interviewing and would let me know if I was selected. I was ghosted.

I sent in my application online back in August 2014. Got a call from a recruiter about a month after. Arranging the in-person interview took another month because it was tricky to get the senior folks together. The job itself sounded amazing, really my kind of thing - focused on safety, labs, and marine life! By the time they set it up, I'd already taken another job, though. The person I met with was great, and I actually enjoyed the whole experience. It was more of a chat than a formal interview.

It was a standard walk-in interview. I had a quick phone call first, then a walk-in interview that lasted about 30-45 minutes. The manager was understanding and nice, the conversation was positive and not stressful. They got back to me with an answer in about a week.

An HR person set up the interview, which was then led by the project manager and a team of 4 scientists. It was supposed to be on GOTOMeeting, but I was not informed beforehand. I thought it would be a phone call, so finding out it was a video call was unexpected but fine. I had to rush to get my audio and video working last minute.
