First, a recruiter reached out to set up an interview. We then had a Zoom meeting where I was asked about my knowledge of the company and what business area I was interested in interviewing for.

They did a phone screening and then a video interview. The video interview was basically for the recruiter to ask some questions and record them for the hiring manager. It was a pretty standard interview process for a role that's for people just starting out.

Behavioral Presentation

The hiring process was managed by a recruiting agency and moved really fast. I interviewed in the morning with two senior managers, and it was a very conversational chat about training and the responsibilities of an underwriter. By that afternoon, I was extended an offer, which I accepted. However, the next day, HR rescinded the offer due to unexpected changes like expanding and moving to a new building. I had a bad feeling after checking online reviews but ignored it. My advice is to avoid this company as other reviews also suggest it's a cutthroat environment that doesn't value employees.

I applied online and then got a call back. They did an initial phone screening that was about an hour long. After that, I was invited for a 1:1 interview the next week, which was pretty quick, only about 30 minutes. They asked a few questions about me and my interest in the job, focusing on sales. The hiring manager spent most of the time explaining the job and daily tasks, almost like they were trying to sell me on the position. I got an offer email the same day. The benefits are good, but the pay is low at $35,000.
