First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at JFK Medical Center.
Pharmacy Resident
The interviews were really friendly, involving a presentation and then four panel interviews. They mostly asked behavioral questions, with a few basic clinical ones. It's important to practice your clinical knowledge and speak clearly when interviewing with this program.
- What made you decide on JFK?
Patient Account Representative
Had a quick interview, they mainly wanted to hear about me and my background from my resume. A current employee referred me, and it seems like they're always hiring. I talked with HR first, then the supervisor, where we went over my skills and experience, and then they gave me the job offer.
- What experience do you have with Accounts Receivable?
Unit Secretary
I was initially contacted about a job opening during my school semester, but my schedule didn't permit me to work then. They suggested keeping my application on file and to call back when my summer break began. A few months later, I called to let them know I was available. They had misplaced my application, so I had to go in and fill out a new one. A few days after that, I received a call to schedule an interview, and the rest is history.

Registered Nurse
I applied online and the HR Recruiter, Brian Scheets, called me the next day. He was really personable, friendly, and made me feel comfortable during the interview. He was a breath of fresh air and helped calm my nerves. He was informative and professional. They asked me over 14 questions during the interview, so you really need to prepare or you won't do well.
