This was my first IT job interview, and it was awesome, though I messed up badly. There was a significant delay between the initial contact and the onsite interview because the company team was busy with a big conference. I had to complete a simple test task: IDE plugin testing, which was straightforward with care and patience. HR also inquired about contacts from my previous job, and they actually followed up. The initial live interview was conducted by two HR representatives who asked standard questions about my experience and future plans. Later, the PM (communicating remotely from Germany) and a project engineer conducted the second part. I was expecting questions on testing theory, but most of them were Python-specific, which was my weak point. The company covered my travel costs. The HR team was incredibly professional and welcoming, providing a clear outline of the interview process and offering refreshments upon my arrival. The overall experience was positive, one of the best interview processes I've encountered.

Applied online. HR contacted me the following week for a 30-60 minute call. Then, I interviewed with several teams' QAs, which was a great, informal, and friendly experience with good communication and no pressure. We discussed my experience, motivations, and goals. I was given a few test assignments to choose from and completed one. In the next interview with the same people, I presented my results and discussed my thoughts and challenges. More questions about testing processes and the pros and cons of my approach were asked. It was a pleasant, stress-free conversation. After team approval, I provided three co-worker references. Finally, I received an offer.

The interview process started with a 30-minute Skype call with HR. This was followed by a 1-hour interview on Skype with two QA engineers. After that, there were two tasks assigned, with a deadline of 9 am the next day. The final stage was a 3-hour on-site interview.
