Project Manager
HR reached out via email but then missed the initial interview slot, so it had to be rescheduled. I got through the first phone screening round. The hiring manager seemed impressed with my background and invited me for an in-person interview with seven people. Interestingly, three of the interviewers seemed unrelated to the role and were only there because they were instructed to be. They all asked the same repetitive questions, almost as if reading from a script, and some questions from the irrelevant interviewers weren't even pertinent to the project manager position. The hiring manager conducted the final interview, expressing that I was a strong fit and that things would likely move forward, which gave me a lot of hope. However, after a month of no communication, I had to inquire about the status. I was then informed that I was not shortlisted. It felt like a waste of time and a whole day, especially with the false hope and lack of feedback for candidates who reach the final stages.

Project Manager
It started with a video chat, then a full day onsite meeting seven different people. Everyone was really nice and knew their stuff. Some questions felt a little off for the role, and it was a super long day. I've heard of others having fewer people to talk to. Still, I liked it overall and would consider interviewing again. They did tell me why I wasn't hired, which is cool.
- Could you outline the complete process for setting up a piece of software?
- Given our current challenges, how would you approach finding a solution?
- Walk me through all the steps involved in this particular process.
Project Manager
I had a preliminary chat with two folks as an intro. It was pretty chill and friendly, no strict dress code, sort of a casual, hip vibe. They hit me with some standard questions, nothing too wild.
- Can you walk us through your previous roles?
- How would you prioritize tasks when creating work schedules, and what criteria would you use for selecting who gets to pick their shifts first?
