First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jet.
Process Manager
I went to a couple of career fairs, did a HireVue, and then had two onsite interviews. I spoke with Talent Acquisition and interviewed with upper management and HR.
- How would you describe your management style?
Process Manager
I applied online and then a recruiter reached out for a phone interview. The recruiter called and seemed a bit unorganized. She asked me questions, and when I answered, she'd ask again with different wording. I tried to ask about the challenges at the FC and the senior team, but she said she didn't know. I also asked about the biggest challenge moving from Amazon operations to Jet, and she responded dismissively, like 'I don't know, I've never worked at Amazon.' She seemed offended, like she really has pride in working at Jet. I never heard back about whether I got the job, though she did view my LinkedIn two days later. The job listing isn't on the website anymore.
- What are your salary expectations?
- How would you describe your management style?
- What kind of work environment do you prefer?
Process Manager
I had a 15-minute phone chat, and then they invited me for an in-person interview. The office was nice, and the people seemed nice too. I had a 20-ish minute interview with one person who seemed a bit clueless, then another 20-ish minute interview with two people, one of whom was the same person from the phone call. They asked me the exact same questions as the phone interview. The two interviewers were dressed really unprofessionally. I left and sent a follow-up email, but the HR manager, who was also my phone and in-person interviewer, never responded. It took me about an hour and a half to drive there, plus an extra hour due to traffic from an accident, and I never got a reply. I just got a generic email saying I wasn't a good fit. I guess maybe I'm too professional for them since I wasn't wearing jeans and a sloppy shirt like everyone else. I was also supposed to get an assessment before the interview, but I never received it. Overall, it felt like a waste of my time.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in Jet?
- Could you please introduce yourself?
