First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jet Support Services.
Graphic Designer
The people I spoke with were nice, but the interview process felt long and disorganized. There were four interviews with different people. They did answer my questions about the day-to-day job and were pleasant. However, there were a lot of questions about what I discussed with previous interviewers, which made me think communication among teammates wasn't great. I was told the third interview was the last, but it wasn't. I had to ask to do a creative test before the fourth interview, which is pretty standard for this level of graphic design job and I was worried they hadn't even thought of it. When I got the test assets, there was some trash-talking about the temp designer who supposedly 'botched' a project. My fourth interviewer seemed surprised when I asked about salary and benefits; none of the first three could tell me. They wanted a fifth interview before discussing compensation and asked if my experience was unusual. I said yes, four interviews, no creative test unless I asked, and no talk about pay is super unusual for graphic design. I got rejected a few days later and never found out the compensation. I eventually took a job with a company that was more upfront.

Technical Advisor
The interview process was rather long. For me, it consisted of a few initial phone screens, a telephone interview, a 4 hour in person interview with multiple teams, and an additional phone interview. In the end of it all, I was advised that the company decided not to fill the position. Everyone was extremely nice and accommodating. All though the entire process took a couple of months and I didn't end up hired, it was worth it to me. I gained more interview experience, met some nice people, and gained some insight on the company and industry. I know that this is a difficult process for people in the job market, but if you want the job and want to work for the company you just need to go with the flow and keep looking for other jobs while you play the waiting game. Don't be discouraged by this review. In my eyes this was a positive experience. I totally understand if the company truly decided that it was unnecessary to fill this position.
- How do you manage challenging phone calls where you must fix a problem beyond your influence?
Financial Analyst
I applied online and got a call from HR about a week later. They set up a phone interview with me within a few days, which went really well. A few days after that, HR emailed me to say they wanted to fly me out for an interview with the finance team since I was out of town but looking to move. My visit was great, I met with 4 people and they said I'd hear back in a week or two. The very next day, I got an email for another quick phone interview with someone else in finance, which happened two days later. I sent a few thank you emails after that and got replies from HR and another person saying I'd hear back soon. It's been 8 weeks and I still haven't heard anything. After all the effort, a simple "thanks, but no thanks" would have been the polite thing to do.
- Could you discuss how your current tasks align with the requirements of this position?
- Can you explain the steps you would take to calculate the yearly revenue for wedding dresses sold in the U.S.?
Buyer
I had a phone interview with the HR director. They asked standard questions about my background, relevant situations, and knowledge of aviation. I felt good about it and was told the hiring manager would call for a second interview. After a week of no contact from JSSI, I emailed them about the second interview, but got no response. I ended up calling the HR director again and they told me the position was on hold or they likely moved on. It would have been better to get a decline email instead of me waiting.
- Can you tell me three words that describe you?
