First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jerry's Artarama.
Sales Clerk
It was pretty easy. It's just retail, so there isn't a lot to it. I had a degree in design so I had an upper hand in that regard. As long as you have a good personality and are personable you could probably get the job.
- Do you have art experience?
Sales Associate
I sent in an application and a few days later, I got a call. Then I went in and spoke with the store manager. She told me what the job would be like. It was a pretty standard interview. I didn't have any retail experience, but I was studying for my BFA at the time, so I think that helped me get the job.
- Do you have previous retail experience?
- What type of art did you focus on?
Marketing
I met with the director and discussed my fit with the company, and also the skills I could bring to the team. I was also asked for my thoughts on how I could contribute early on.
- What would you attempt to implement in your initial month in the position?
- What skills do you possess that you could contribute to the team?
- How do you envision making contributions early in your tenure with us?
