First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jeg's.
Accounts Payable
It was pretty straightforward and also thorough. I went in for an in-person interview where they asked me some questions to see if I'd be a good fit for the company. We talked about the company's history and then I took a quick quiz on safety basics like fire codes and some math.
- Tell me about yourself and other standard get-to-know-you type questions.
- Can you share some examples of your behavior in past work situations?
- What do you know about our company's history?
Technical Sales Associate
I applied online and they emailed me back the same day. Then they called the next day. After that, I went to one of their stores to fill out paperwork and do some tests. It took about a week to hear back about the test results. Then I got scheduled for an interview at their main facility in Delaware. The first interview lasted about an hour. After that, I went to the call center and shadowed a lead tech to learn more about the job. They might have you do the personality test the same day. They called the next day to set up a second interview with the sales manager, also in Delaware. It usually takes one to two weeks for them to decide. They don't seem to hire a lot of people, which is unusual for sales, and they really look for people they can see themselves keeping long-term. They mentioned that most of their sales team has been there for over 10 years. I was really impressed with the company and how easy the process was. Everyone was very down-to-earth. It seems like a great place to work with great products.
- Can you tell me about the results of your most recent performance review?
Customer Service Representative
First I met with HR, then a current GM. They went over the job, asked about my experience and times I dealt with upset customers. After that, they left me to do a big application with some math questions at the end. The math was about percentages, fractions, and division and it was pretty tough, which is weird since I never needed it in OE or CS.
- Can you describe a time you assisted a very angry customer?
Sales Technician
Expect to be put on the spot with lots of questions. Some are common sense, but most are tough! Overall, it's a challenging process!
- If your rpms are at 2500 doing 60 mph, what stall converter are you running?
