The interview process was a full day with three meetings at two different locations. You met with the heads of the department and the senior physician assistants. The team seemed really nice and just wanted to get to know you.

had an interview, it was quick, straight to the point and they were honest about the expectations and challenges. Received an offer hours later. Not sure if that's a great thing for how quick it was but I'm still interested to take it.

Be aware, there's a form you have to complete. This form asks if you're open to travel. Declining this might affect your chances of being hired. If you're fortunate, they might overlook it. What this really means is if you're willing to be called in at any point during any shift, even mid-shift, to a completely different campus. This includes locations like Bucks County Langhorne Hospital, the Torresdale campus on Red Lion Road in Philadelphia, and the Frankford campus near the EL off Route 13/Frankford Ave in Philadelphia. Each of these sites has its upsides and downsides. As a pool nurse, which I was, you're often the first to be reassigned, but this doesn't mean you won't get a call on Christmas morning before your shift to cover an understaffed area in a less desirable part of Philly because supervisors might have sent home some of their own staff and pulled you from your usual hospital. The interview itself is straightforward. They provide good training, especially if you're new and eager to learn. The Torresdale campus is excellent for gaining broad experience, the Frankford Ave campus has a great team, and the Langhorne campus is manageable and small. Your placement might depend on the interview location and the specific floor. The only thing to prepare is brushing up on your math skills, and knowing someone on the floor could help secure the job. I really liked all the staff members.
