First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jeff Ellis Management.
Assistant Manager
It was a four part interview process. Questions were centered around conflict management, customer service, aquatics industry skills, and communication. The first interview was a pre-recorded video with about 10 questions. The next three interviews were with the team to see if you'd be a fit not only on paper but with the team that is currently there.
- How would you handle situations involving favoritism?
Lifeguard
The interview is pretty straightforward. You need to show you're fit by swimming 8 laps without stopping, treading water for 2 minutes without using your hands, and retrieving a brick from the bottom of a 10-foot pool.
- What makes you a good candidate for this position?
Lifeguard
It was really chill. Super conversational, actually. We were in a group setting which made it less nerve-wracking and let us bounce ideas off each other. The vibe was pretty relaxed and welcoming.
- Why are you the ideal candidate for this lifeguard position?
