Interpreter
I applied online, and the company asked me to use their platform to record a video about my experience and why I want to work with them. If they liked my video, they’d set up a mock call. After that, I had to watch a series of videos and then take a test that I only had 2 attempts on. I also had to complete more tests. I never actually spoke to a real person; it was just automated emails. Finally, I was scheduled for a test call that was supposed to be simple. Nobody mentioned anything about pay rates. Then, 4 hours before the call, they sent an email saying they didn't need interpreters for my language and that they'd contact me if they did. This was after I spent so much time watching their videos, doing their tests, and trying to move forward. I'm very disappointed.

I was excited to interview with Jeenie after reading Glassdoor reviews. The first interview was a video call with the VP of Engineering. It was a high-level chat about my background, under 30 minutes. They told my recruiter I was technically qualified but not a personality fit. I was bummed out. I think I'm easy-going, but small talk isn't always my strong suit. If you're autistic, this might not be the place for you.
- Can you share your experience?
Interpreter/Translator
Submitted an online application and then uploaded certifications/test scores. Had to watch a mandatory recorded YouTube orientation, the link for which expires. It had slides and a voiceover answering common questions and faqs. Scheduling the live interview was flexible through Calendly, and they were friendly via email if I needed to reschedule, with different people available for different time zones.
