First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jean Coutu.
Cashier
You apply online via Indeed, then if that goes well you'll have an onsite interview that lasts about 30 minutes. They will ask you to introduce yourself, talk about your availability, why you want this job, your strengths and weaknesses, how you might improve, your thoughts on the community, your salary expectations, the biggest challenge you faced in your last job, and about your previous experience. You'll also need to fill out a reference form, and they will contact your references. They will let you know the result tomorrow.
- Could you start by introducing yourself?
- What's your availability like?
- Can you tell us why you're interested in this particular job?
Cashier
It was a short interview, pretty straightforward. They asked me questions about myself, like what my qualities are and about my past experience. They also wanted to know why I applied there and how I'd handle a tough spot.
- What are your qualities that you can use as a cashier?
- Tell me about your prior experience.
- Why do you want to work here?
Cashier
The bosses were really friendly and asked the usual interview questions. Even though I don't have previous experience, they said they will provide proper training. It seems like a great opportunity for high school students looking for their first job.
- Can you tell me about your best qualities?
- What kind of availability do you have?
