For this specific role, the main work involved providing services to one of JBT's units in the US, so there were national and international stages. First, the resume screening. Then, an interview with the national manager for the area, followed by an HR interview. In the HR interview, your declared language proficiency is tested, usually English and one other language requested in the job posting. If approved, I was directed to two interview sessions with 4 different managers from the hiring units in the US. I got a positive response in about 10 days and the written job offer, with benefits and salary.

Behavioral Technical

It was pretty normal to start, I had a phone interview, then met the director in person the next day. They said they'd make a decision the following week. They kept making excuses, then ghosted me. A month after the interviews, I got a canned "sorry you didn't get it." It was annoying to be strung along for so long when I wasn't being considered.

So the interview started with a Teams screen with the recruiter, then I spoke with the General Manager/HR. After that, I had one on-site interview where I met with a bunch of managers. They had some follow-up calls/meetings to make sure we were a good fit for each other. It felt pretty standard for a Director of Engineering role.
