First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at JAX Mercantile.
Sales Associate
It's a pretty standard retail interview process, with the usual questions. I first talked to the department manager, and then had another chat with both the department manager and the store manager before they extended the job offer.
- Why are you interested in Jax?
Assistant Buyer
I interviewed with two other people in the department. They asked me about my background and why I was interested in the job. Then they asked me about 5 questions each, and it lasted about 20 minutes.
- Tell me about a time you made a mistake and how you handled it.
Marketing Coordinator
They started by asking about salary expectations. The interview itself felt pretty casual, and they asked standard situational questions. I needed to have a portfolio ready to showcase my past work. It was a relaxed setting with two interviewers present.
- Tell me about a situation where you had a disagreement with a colleague.
Atendente
It was quite difficult and demanding, with not much feedback. They could really improve on that because we were left waiting with so much expectation, only to not know how the process was going. And the waiting time could also be reduced.
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
