First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Javelin Agency.
Analyst
The interview was comfortable, not too formal but not too informal. The people were very personable. It seems like a great culture, but unfortunately, I didn't hear back.

Solutions Consultant
I was contacted by Javelin's sister agency, CODE North America, for a solutions consultant position. My initial phone interview with the agency principal went well. This led to an invitation to interview with the leadership team at their headquarters in Irving, Texas. The interview itself was satisfactory; the people were pleasant, and their business model for agency clients was interesting. However, issues arose afterward. CODE North America has failed to reimburse my travel expenses for over eight weeks since my visit. Each time I follow up about my reimbursement, an administrator claims, "the check is in the mail," but no check ever arrives. For me, not reimbursing travel expenses is a major red flag concerning a company's potential as an employer. Proceed with caution.
- Could you describe your experience managing different client engagements?
Art Director
The interview process involved one phone call, followed by two in-person interviews, and then an offer was extended. It was a pretty simple process from beginning to end. I spoke with about 5 or 6 people in total, including the recruiter. I feel like I interview well, and I think it went well because of that; it was quite conversational. I asked a lot of questions, maybe because I was nervous, but I think it came across as excitement.
- Be prepared to sell yourself and explain why you are deserving of the job.
- Explain why you are the right candidate for this advertising role.
Marketing Coordinator
My current job's regular customer referred me for the interview. They were very efficient in setting it up and were professional. I interviewed with three people and felt good about it afterward, despite the usual nerves. I followed up and was told I'd hear back within a week, but never did. I sent another email a few weeks later and still heard nothing. I think it's unprofessional not to update candidates on their status via phone or email.
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated leadership?
