First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jared Jewelers.
Sales Representative
They really sold me on the job at first, promising the moon. As the years went by, the hiring process started to shift, depending on who the company was looking to promote. My first interview was straightforward, and after I took this silly test to check my honesty, I got the job offer. Since I'd worked there before, they really just needed to check my employment record. It turned out that the male manager who took over my old role was offered more money, even though I had prior experience with the company.
- What aspects of selling jewelry did you find most appealing?
Sales Representative
I submitted my resumé through indeed, and a day later I was called for an interview that happened within the same week. The whole process took over two weeks and consisted of 3 interviews plus a final one (the 4th) where they let you know if you got the job. All the interviews were very customer-focused, so if you have a good approach towards customers, you'll do well.
- What is your interest in jewelry?
Sales Representative
The online application had a pass/fail scoring. Then there were 6 questions about your previous success and experience that determined your hourly wage. The interviewer was not truthful, made negative remarks about one of the employees that interrupted the interview, and was arrogant. They had a strange head-jerking tic.
