First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jar House.
Data Scientist
I applied online and heard back from the manager in 5 days. The first call was with the manager, covering company intro and my background. Then, a deep technical interview with a data scientist. Next, I got a Python technical project to complete in two days. After that, the manager let me know I was recommended and HR would call. HR called two days later, saying the CEO wanted to meet. I met the CEO in Atlanta, along with the manager, data scientist, and CEO's assistant. The CEO was quite unhappy from the start, complaining about his technical team's performance instead of interviewing me. This continued throughout the meeting. I didn't hear back for three weeks. After emailing the manager multiple times, he finally replied that they decided not to hire anyone. Very unprofessional experience, I'd advise future candidates to think twice about this long process.
- Can you tell me about any NLP projects you've worked on?
Office Coordinator
I applied for the office coordinator job and got a call back quickly, just four days later. It was a random call while I was driving and trying to find a place, and the interviewer didn't even check if it was a good time to talk. I struggled to answer their questions because of the situation, but I guess it's on me for taking the call. For others, be ready for random phone screenings. Some companies let you schedule them, so do your homework.
- Why did you choose to apply for this particular position?
Talent Acquisition Specialist
They'll want to know if you have any experience or knowledge in real estate. It's pretty important that you get wholesalers, direct to seller, and the MLS. It's basic stuff, but key for this job.
- Do you have a background in real estate?
- How would you approach resolving a challenging situation?
Staff Accountant
Had a phone interview, then two in person interviews. Met the CEO and got the offer. The process was straightforward. One of the interviews involved a skills demonstration.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Please demonstrate your skills.
