First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Janus Research Group.
Subcontracts Administrator
The interview process was pretty standard. I had a video call on Skype with the hiring manager for contracts and the procurement manager. We talked about my past experience, my basic knowledge of the field, and my work ethic.
- Could you share an example of when you had to work through a subcontract issue?
Software Engineer
The process took a long time. I interviewed with some really smart Senior Engineers and they really challenged me. It felt like a complicated process for a company that isn't that great. Some of the Unity questions were a bit weird and didn't really have a clear right or wrong answer.
- I don't remember the exact questions since it was too long ago, but there were some very smart engineers on the panel.
SATCOM SME
I found the job on LinkedIn and applied through there. Janus HR reached out to me via email to set up an initial phone interview with the program manager. After that, I had a secondary interview with the government client and two program managers. They extended an offer over the phone, then I got a counter offer over the phone too, followed by the final offer. They also told me about the relocation timeline but didn't cover expenses.
- Can you describe your approach to specific situational challenges in engineering?
- What is your knowledge base regarding acquisitions and contracting processes?
- Could you elaborate on your expertise in SATCOM systems?
Project Analyst
I had an initial screening call with the recruiter and then a second-round interview with the hiring team. Overall, I thought the interviews were very professional and well-conducted. Great experience.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What do you consider your greatest weakness?
- Describe a situation where you had to handle a difficult client.
