My interview process started with a quick 15-minute phone screening that had a few simple math problems. After that, I had to complete a data challenge using VBA. The final stage was a full day onsite interview which included three separate rounds: one focused on operations, another on coding, and the last one was a behavioral interview. I assume there were also background check and offer stages.

First, there was a take-home assessment where I had to use Excel to calculate haircuts and really pay attention to the details. Then, a phone interview came up, and it had some math brain teasers. After that, another take-home assessment, this time writing VBA to display a message like 'XYZ Equity is trading +/- X.XX% away from its reference price'. Lastly, there was a video interview that included a coding assessment using Python.

My first interaction was with a really responsive and nice HR person. The process started with an Excel assignment, followed by a 30-minute phone call. After that, I got a sudden, abrupt email from another HR person saying I was no longer being considered, with no explanation. It felt like a waste of my time, and I suspect the hiring manager made the decision based solely on my resume without any real evaluation.
