They are willing to hire people whether or not they have prior experience in the insurance industry. The interview process isn't difficult as long as you use the STAR format. If you applied online, you'll be contacted by the recruiter to set up a screening interview, main interview, background check, and offer.

I had an initial screen with the recruiter, then another interview with the same recruiter. After that, I met with two managers or department heads over Teams. The process was pretty straightforward, and they communicated well at every step. The staff was organized, considerate, and transparent. I'm pleased with the information I've received so far.

I applied online, and then got a personality quiz from the recruiter. You should totally Google the ideal answers for your position, btw. After that, it was a phone screening, followed by a panel interview with some hiring managers. I guess I wasn't the one because they said they'd let me know by the next week, and I never heard back. I followed up 3 times, and each time they said they were still thinking about it. I eventually told them I'd pull my application because they were taking forever, like 4 weeks, even though the hiring manager said they weren't like other companies that delay decisions. Yeah right. I ended up accepting another underwriting offer that paid way more than what the recruiter said was the salary range for this job. So yeah, JRIC seems to underpay. They didn't totally ghost me, but I know for sure they wouldn't have reached out if I hadn't followed up. Hiring managers, do better.

Had a phone interview and then filled out an online application. The following week, I had an in-person interview. The first person who was supposed to interview me came and went without a word. The second interviewer was 15 minutes late and ended up being the one who interviewed me. It was a standard one-on-one interview where they ask for specific examples and you get to ask questions. I thought my answers were great, but the next day I got an email saying they weren't moving forward with my application. It seems like they were looking for something very specific or had some kind of bias against my resume or answers, which I felt were all good. It felt like a waste of my time since the recruiter should have screened me out earlier. I mention this because I received two job offers from other insurance companies the following week.
