So I applied through a recruiter and had a conversation with another Senior Data Scientist, which was a nice chat where we talked about my background and the job. After that, I got a take-home assignment that was pretty involved, it had SQL tasks, model building, and a presentation component. I didn't hear back from Jaja for more than 2 weeks after submitting the project, and then got a rejection with no feedback. It felt pretty disrespectful considering how much time and effort the tasks required.

I had a conversation with the recruiter for the Collections Agent role. The recruiter was friendly and made me feel at ease. They asked me about other daily tasks in my current job that I didn't mention when explaining my experience due to being nervous. My application moved forward. I got an email with advice on how to prepare for the next interview, which was a pleasant surprise since I haven't interviewed in years and it really helped calm my nerves. Overall, it was a good experience.

This was a horrible experience with an unprofessional HR team. I went through 2 of 3 rounds. The first two interviews lacked any context about the interview type or who would be interviewing. The second interview was poorly organized, with both interviewers reading from a script and not actively listening. After the second interview, I didn't hear back, so I followed up. The HR person promised a response by the following Friday, but I heard nothing, so I followed up again. It's now been a month with no response, which is unprofessional given the lack of even an email response.

The interview process was really bad. First there was an initial interview, and then over a week later, there was a second interview with someone who was supposed to be a senior person. When the second interview started, I was told that the job had already been offered to someone else, but they still wanted to talk to me. I guess I was too scared to say no, so I agreed. The second interview felt like I was being judged and put down, it was not a comfortable conversation at all. After about 20 minutes, they said they had what they needed and then ended the call. I felt really terrible for a long time after that! People agree to interview for a job, but that doesn't mean they should be treated poorly. Seriously, avoid this company!
