The interview process was very good, conducted by HR. I was selected and felt very comfortable with the idea of joining Generic Aadhaar, as it's a great company to work for with good team support and benefits for common people starting businesses.

The whole thing for a software engineer usually has a bunch of steps. First, they look at your resume. Then, you chat with a recruiter. After that, you'll probably do some coding or system design tests. There will also be behavioral interviews to see how you fit in. Finally, you'll meet with people on the team. They check if you can solve problems, code well, communicate, and if you're a good cultural fit. If everything goes well, you get an offer, and then they do background checks and get you started.

I went in and asked if they were hiring, and they said no, but I left my resume anyway. The next day, the manager called me to come in for an interview the day after that. It was pretty unorganized. I had to wait a bit for the manager to be ready. Then we went to the back room for the interview. It was really short, and I felt like I couldn't finish my answers before she'd ask the next question. She asked about 20 questions from a booklet and wrote down all my answers. I left not feeling great about it and expected to hear back. Two days later, they called to offer me the position and offered me $0.50 more than I asked for.
