After submitting my application, I waited about 3-4 weeks to hear back. The HR department contacted me and scheduled an interview for that same week. The HR person asked about my interest in the zoo and my understanding of the job duties. That interview took around 30 minutes. About a week later, I was invited for a second interview with the mammal curator and other supervisors, which lasted about 45 minutes. For out-of-town applicants, I heard both interviews might be conducted over the phone. A week or two after that, I was offered the position.
