First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jackson-Dawson.
IT Help Desk Technician
It was a pretty standard interview process. It was a panel interview and the questions were straightforward. Interviewees were friendly, which made the interview casual. I only had one interview before I was sent an offer, but I know most people go through two interviews.
- What is your approach to managing challenging customer interactions?
Operations Manager
The interview process was fast, starting with two video calls and then an onsite interview. They were thorough. I heard back about my results within 2-3 days, and the whole experience was really smooth. It was one of the better interview processes I've gone through.
- Describe a past emergency situation and how you would approach it differently if it happened again.
Program Manager
The recruiter I talked to was super nice and seemed really into hearing about my background and telling me about the company. But, the interview with the manager was a total drag. She didn't even ask me about myself or my experience, just started reading a list of questions she had prepared. It felt really scripted and she seemed to have no personality or interest in connecting. I actually had to ask if I could talk about myself and my experience... She had this vibe of a mean office lady, and it really killed my enthusiasm for the job and made me wonder if I'd even want to work there, or at least for that department.
- Tell me about a time you had to manage something new that was outside your area of expertise.
Project Manager
I got set up for the interview over the phone. Then I went into the office and interviewed with 3 employees. They asked me to come back for a second interview, which was one-on-one with the supervisor. I felt like I was strung along and they ended up turning me down for the job. After that, they contacted me about a new job, which was the same role. I interviewed again and they called later to say I wouldn't be offered that job, but a lesser one. They definitely take longer than they say they will to get back to you.
- What makes you want to work for this company?
