Behavioral

The interview screen involved being asked several questions, although some felt out of place. It was a very old-fashioned process; they lack a streamlined system for scheduling interviews. During the call, they simply read from a list of questions and concluded the discussion. This was reminiscent of another company I recently encountered, which is a century old, whereas this company is only 20 years old. They posed 10 questions and then finished. I received a rejection, apparently because I was a diversity candidate and they had already fulfilled their quota for the month. Upon reviewing their Glassdoor reviews, it became apparent they are not genuinely committed to diversifying their workforce, even when opportunities arise. It's disappointing but true.

Behavioral Technical

It was a traditional HR phone screen and then a hiring manager phone interview. The interviews felt stiff and unemotional, making it tough to gauge cultural fit. Salary expectations were asked in the application, the HR screen, and the manager interview. They didn't share any info on the salary range or benefits value. Felt like they were looking for reasons to reject candidates. It's their choice, but be ready for that kind of format and vibe.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Started with an HR phone screening, then a chat with the General Product Manager about my goals, their needs, and culture fit. Next was a technical part, which was either a fake UX exercise or presenting a past case study. This felt conversational, focusing on how I'd benefit the team. The last interview was with the Chief Product Officer, discussing strategy and the roadmap. The whole thing took about 3-4 weeks from start to offer.

It was a 5-part process. First, I had a phone interview. Then, I had a virtual interview with the manager. After that, I had to do a core values assessment.
