First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jack`s Surfboards.
Sales Associate
It was a pretty straightforward interview. They just asked some basic questions about me and my previous work history. There was only one interview, and then they'd make their hiring decision.
- Tell me a bit about yourself.
- Could you share some details about your past experiences?
Sales
First they wanted to know about my background and if I had experience in customer service or with the surf industry. They asked about my availability and if I was interested in the brands they carry. They also wanted to make sure I was available and could be a team player.
- Is your transportation reliable?
Sales Associate
It was a really quick interview, about 15 minutes long. They asked me some basic questions about when I'm available to work and how many days I'd like to work. They also asked why I applied to Jacks and why I think I'd be a good fit for the team.
- What days are you available to work during the week, and how many days would you like to work?
- Can you tell me why you decided to apply to Jacks?
- What makes you believe you're a good candidate for this position?
Sales Associate
Had a brief 15-minute meeting in the break room with two managers. We talked through my resume, my availability, and the day-to-day tasks of the role. The atmosphere was very relaxed, felt like chatting with a friend.
- Can you share one of your strengths and one of your weaknesses?
