First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jack Henry & Associates.
Call Center Representative
I first chatted with a recruiter on the phone. She asked me some questions about my past work and the job itself. After that, I had a video interview. The two people who interviewed me were really nice. One of them was a supervisor who had just started. They both asked me questions about different situations and how I'd behave (which I thought didn't really relate to the job). Near the end, they explained the job and the training. They weren't sure about the pay or the start date, which was supposed to be later in the month. I asked if they had any concerns about my ability to do the job, and they said no. But then I got an email from the recruiter saying they were moving forward with other candidates who were a better fit. I even thanked the recruiter and asked what I could improve on if the job opened up again, but I didn't get a reply.

I applied online and the next morning I got an email to schedule a phone interview. We had a 15-20 minute chat about my background, past jobs, how I work, and my values. They mentioned the hiring manager would reach out later that day or the next. She called me the following morning to dig deeper into my job history and ask typical customer service questions about my personality and my skill in handling tough customer situations. She then said I'd be contacted soon for an in-person interview. I got a call the same day to set it up for three days later. I wore business casual, although the usual dress code there is very relaxed. I looked up the company and what they look for in their employees. The interview was with two managers, and they each had a list of questions. They asked them one by one, sometimes asking a follow-up question for more details. The interview went really well, it was actually enjoyable, like hanging out with friends. I felt a connection and liked the experience. They are looking for honest people, individuals who enjoy giving back to the community, and someone who is positive and upbeat.

You wait in the lobby until you are called. I had to wait around twenty minutes before I was called. The supervisor came down to greet me and took me upstairs. As we were walking he mentioned to me that it was going to be an unconventional interview. He informed me that two people were on the phone waiting to speak to me. But that part did throw me off a bit. So be prepared for that! He took me to a conference room and the interview process begin. For the most part you are asked a bunch of scenario based questions and most of the questions are typical questions you have probably answered in interviews before. There are no curve balls.
