First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at J. Mason.
Account Manager
I started with a recruiter agency, then I met with the hiring manager Anne. She was nice and wanted to know about my interest in marketing and business. For the second round, they explained their company and my role. They even included me in their morning meeting to see the vibe. The last interview was with the CEO after the meeting. He answered my questions and offered me the job right away.
- Would you describe yourself as having an entrepreneurial mindset?
Assistant Manager
The interview process had 3 stages. The last stage was with the CEO Brock, who was very friendly. The interviews primarily aimed to assess if I was a good fit and possessed the right attitude. They shared their well-developed business model and addressed all my questions effectively.
- What is your 5-year vision for yourself?
Assistant Manager
It was a three round interview, the last was personally with the Ceo. Anne my initial interview was perfect and answered every question and doubt I had, she is the reason I joined the company. Their main focus was that I was goal driven and a right fit. My first interview was them explain their mission and what it is that they do, at the second was when I was evaluated to see of not only could I make the business improve but that I vibed with the employees.
- What leadership skills do you have?
Marketing and Sales
I didn't realize from the ad that the job was solely door-to-door makeup sales. You're expected to interrupt people at their workplaces to sell them products. The hours were 9 am to 6 pm or later, six days a week, with no real lunch or breaks. You're not an employee, but a contractor, so they can make you work as many hours as they want, even though you're technically self-employed. No benefits, just promises of future success.
- Are you prepared to dedicate yourself completely to this role?
