The hiring process involved two rounds. The first was with HR and the second was the technical round. Both rounds were quite good. I really recommend that everyone gives it a shot at least once. The entire process will make you feel inspired.

They are looking for advisors who have sold at least $2mm of FIA annually and can service their internal lead generation team. They use Google Ads, radio, and TV for marketing and have an in-house lead generation process. They want to hire successful advisors to work these leads. The split was 50/50 back then, and advisors needed a 40% close rate to stay in the program. This might have changed since it was 4 years ago.

So I had two experiences with them. The first time I applied, I didn't hear anything back, so I called the office and the manager said he'd call me the next day, but he never did. A few months later, I applied again and a manager called me the next day for a phone interview, which was great. He then scheduled me for another interview with a different manager the very next day. This second manager just kept asking me about how much money I've made over the last few years instead of asking about my goals or experience. He asked how much I made at my last job, why I quit, and how much I'm making now. I explained I left my last job to finish school to make more money, and that I'm currently making good money but want to go back to sales full time. He then told me I shouldn't have left my previous company and that it was a better career path. It felt like an argument, and he ended by saying he'd call me the next day, but again, no call or email. I sent a thank you email but never heard back about the position.

The interview process is a 2 step thing. The initial interview gives an overview of the company and the objectives of the position you are applying for.
