Behavioral Presentation

Before getting a face-to-face interview, everyone has to do a phone interview that's basically a screening. After passing the phone interview, they invite you for an in-person interview. The interview is pretty informal, and usually, there are other interviews happening at the same time. J.Crew has busy seasons, like any store, and they often have big hiring events. So, the face-to-face interview is really quick. They ask a few common questions, and if you get the job, they offer it to you right then and there.

I got a call for a phone interview, which was pretty standard, asking about my availability and the usual stuff for the retail field. They mentioned my application would be looked at and I'd get an update in 2-3 business days. The interview happened today, so I'll let you know if they call me back.

I had a computer test for order taking, which was easy and I passed. Then I had a face to face interview. The interviewer was young but had been with the company for over 5 years. They asked me about my past jobs and compared my answers to my resume. Some standard interview questions were asked, like examples of going above and beyond in customer service or a time I wished I did something differently.
