Customer Service Specialist
The interview and hiring process was rather lengthy. Be prepared to talk a lot about any experience related to retail and customer service experience that you have received or given and how you would compose e-mails so that your own voice is heard throughout your content and approach of the situation at hand and the customer's needs. If they tell you you are hired before your background check is complete, know that your employment is pending on that report coming back in time - so that you are cleared for the start date of the training program. This happened to me and I had to wait another month and a half to start the job. Also you have to complete a typing test with a headset on and also an e-mail test with different customer service and sales scenarios.
- Tell me about a time you had a negative customer service experience and explain the reasons behind it.
Customer Service Representative
They first called me and asked me some questions. One that stood out was when they asked me to pitch a credit card and allowed me to make up as many benefits as possible. Then, they called me in for an in-store interview where I did a typing test. They wanted to ensure I could type coherently. After that, they asked me to pitch a cashmere sweater, focusing on the material and how versatile it was, and during what kind of occasions I could wear it.
- Can you pitch this sweater?
- Can you pitch this sweater, elaborating on the material and its versatility for different occasions?

My interview was scheduled for 12:30, but it turned out to be a job fair, which they didn't mention. I waited until 1:00 for the first part, a typing assessment that was really easy. Then, there was a 1:1 to go over application questions. The last part focused on how well I understand customer service.
- Can you tell me about the j crew style?
- Imagine you're given an article of clothing; how would you sell it to me?
- Tell me about a time you gave great customer service.
