The interview was pretty laid back. I gave a scientific talk to a group, and that was also video conferenced elsewhere. We had a mix of one-on-one chats and group discussions. They also took a group of us out for lunch to get to know me better.

I applied online through the company's website with my resume and cover letter. It took a couple weeks, with the holidays in between, but then the hiring manager emailed me to set up a phone interview. We found a time that worked for both of us, and then they called me and asked some questions.

Presentation Behavioral Technical

I gave a seminar and then was treated to lunch by the hiring manager and another team member. Afterwards, I had individual interviews with other team members. Everyone was friendly, though there seemed to be some tension between employees and HR/administrators. Getting my guest badge was more difficult than it should have been.

Got an email for a technical interview, which lasted about 45 minutes. The interviewer was a Software Engineer looking for someone to join her team. Even though the role was for web development, all the questions focused on core Java.
