Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at J.B. Hunt Transport.
Customer Service Representative
The first contact was quick. The interview lasted half an hour. They were very attentive listeners and asked very objective questions to understand the candidate's knowledge. After the interview, I didn't hear back. Recruitment was paused for a month.
- What are your expectations for the company and logistics?
Customer Service Representative
I found the job online and sent my resume through the company's website. After that, I had a quick phone interview, about 10-15 minutes long, with someone from their hiring team. A few days later, I came in for an in-person interview. It was pretty relaxed. The person interviewing me was the manager for the department I'd be working in.
- Can you share an instance where you had to handle a challenging customer and describe your approach?
Customer Service Representative
I had a phone screening where they asked about my relevant skills and why I wanted to work there. Then, there was a 60-minute in-person interview that was surprisingly casual. They also introduced me to some office staff at the end.
- What do you know about our company and why would you like to work here?
