First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at J.B. Hunt Transport.
Account Manager
I applied online and then got an email to set up a phone interview. It was about 20 minutes long and asked about handling situations and my willingness to work per day.
- What actions would you take if an employee under your supervision had an issue with another employee?
- Describe how you would manage specific scenarios.
- What are your expectations regarding daily working hours?
Account Manager
First, there was a phone screening. If it went well and we were both still interested, then there was an in-person interview. It's pretty standard: they ask about you, your resume, your skills, and some situational questions. Usually, one or two people conduct the interview. If you pass the in-person interview, you have to pass a hair follicle drug test.
- In a given scenario XYZ, how would you approach it?
Account Manager
I was led to believe I was up for a promotion at my location when JB Hunt took over. The offer I received was significantly less than I expected, even with the incentives I was already receiving, it was basically a pay cut.
- What are your strategies for minimizing damage rates?
