First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at J.B. Hunt Transport.
Account Representative
it's pretty standard, like most places. first you do a phone interview, then an in-person one. the whole thing takes about a month. they ask regular questions but also really want to know how you deal with stress, which is a big part of this job, though they don't mention it's mostly due to internal drama.
- Can you describe your ability to manage stress?
Account Representative
The whole thing took like two months after I applied and my start date. I was having a baby when they wanted me to start and they were cool and let me push back my start date up to two weeks! Which was awesome. Be ready for a hair follicle drug test. It'll find everything in your system from the previous 90 days.
- Why do you want to work at JB Hunt?
Account Representative
I applied twice for this role. The first time, I got a phone interview, then a face-to-face panel interview with about 10 people, though only 2 were for the position. It went well, but I didn't hear back and had to reach out, only to be told they chose someone else, even though I was a great fit. The second time, I reapplied and got scheduled for a phone interview. On the day, I got a call to reschedule due to a meeting conflict, and they said they'd call back, but never did. I reached out again, and got no response. The HR people were unprofessional and lacked common courtesy. The face-to-face interviewers were great though.
- Can you explain your experience and how it fits into our scenarios?
