Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ITHAKA.
Software Engineer
The interview process involved an initial phone screen, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager. Then, there was a technical challenge interview that included pair programming on a new feature, and a cultural interview. The process concluded with a final interview with a hiring manager. While not bad, the process felt a bit drawn out. It seemed like a few of us made it to the final round. I received a generic rejection email after a week and a half, only to see the same job posted a week later. It would be helpful to understand the reasons for the rejection of final-round candidates, though I don't expect to find out.
- Tell me about a time you led a project with a team.
Software Engineer
I applied through the career site and got a call back pretty quickly. There were 3 interviews and the questions were quite basic. What I really didn't like though was the lack of response; they didn't even get back to me with an offer or rejection for weeks. I really wish it had been more professional.
- Can you tell me about your experience with basic Java?
- What do you know about Spring MVC?
- Do you have experience with HTML?
Software Engineer
The interview experience was really good, the interviewer was super friendly. It was a short interview, only about 15 minutes, and the interviewer was attentive and nice. The hiring process isn't too long. I passed the first round and am now getting ready for the final round.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain your interest in ITHAKA?
