Financial Analyst
The hiring manager was nice but they ghost you even after 3 follow up emails. I was a candidate for final stage, and they could not even make time to send me an update. Do not expect to hear back from them or receive any feedbacks.
- Can you provide a summary of your resume?
Transportation Engineer
I had two interviews for this role, and in each one, I met with three people who were from different offices. They were really nice and friendly, and they asked me clear questions about my interests, my background, and what I want to do in my career. They also asked me to talk about a couple of projects I've worked on.
- What makes you want to move on from your current job?
- Where do you see your career headed?
- Can you walk me through one or two of your past projects?
Backend Engineer
Mostly, it's a technical conversation about the stack you'll work with at the client. At times they test your knowledge with fundamentals, problems, solutions, and challenges you've overcome.
- What annotation do you use to describe a transaction or the type of transaction in Spring Boot/Spring Data?
Software Developer
The interview process included a long phone call, an extensive in-person meeting, and a skills assessment with several senior developers. The skills test felt outdated, focusing heavily on JavaScript despite the role requiring high-level PHP skills. I spent over 8 hours in total on this process, including interviews, emails, travel, and the test itself. The offered salary is significantly below market rate for the required skills. I learned from a senior developer that there's high turnover there and management views developers as disposable. Pushing for improvements can lead to layoffs. He also mentioned he was glad I didn't accept the job, as I would likely have been unhappy. It's not a suitable environment for highly skilled, experienced developers.
- What is your age?
- Do you have children?
- Are you currently taking any prescription medication?
