First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ITC Holdings.
Software Developer
I had one in-person interview where they asked a bunch of standard open-ended questions about my developer strengths and weaknesses, and times when things didn't go as planned. They also asked some questions about SQL.
- Can you share your greatest strength as a developer and your greatest weakness?
- Tell me about your strongest and weakest points as a developer.
- What's your biggest developer strength and weakness?
Regulatory Analyst
It was horrible. I applied for two analyst roles and was contacted for a phone screening by the recruiter for one of them. The conversation felt promising—aligned responsibilities, relevant experience, and clear interest from my side. I was asked about salary expectations and other interviews, and was told the hiring manager was on vacation but I’d hear back the following week. Weeks passed with no update. I followed up—no response. Later, I received another invite for a phone screening for the second role, from the same recruiter, who did not seem to realize we'd already spoken. The conversation followed the same exact pattern: hiring manager on vacation, reply expected the next week. I sent another follow-up after that interview. It’s been nearly a week—still no response. The roles sounded meaningful, and I was genuinely enthusiastic about contributing to ITC’s mission, but the lack of acknowledgment, duplicate screening, and repeated delays left me questioning the communication standards of their hiring process. Candidates deserve clear timelines, respect for their time, and basic record-keeping.
- Would you be comfortable giving presentations?
Project Coordinator
There was a phone screening and then an actual interview with the team. The process itself was okay, but the communication from this company is really bad. They don't seem to let people know when they aren't selected. If anyone from the company sees this, the minimum you could do is inform candidates they aren't moving forward. It's not that difficult to show some respect.
- Can you tell me about your experience with the software listed in the job description?
Asset Manager
Had a phone interview with the recruiter, then one with the account manager, and then a final phone interview with the account manager and two ITC managers. They were really helpful answering my questions and even offered to let me talk to anyone. Since I was unsure about the 1100 mile move, I asked to visit them to learn more. They gave me a full tour and again offered to answer any questions or let me speak with anyone at the facility. It was a very nice experience.
- The questions asked were all very straightforward, without any games, which was much appreciated.
