First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Isuzu North America.
Manager
The recruiting team was involved in the interviews and they were very hospitable. Isuzu executives were also involved, and what they were looking for was a little ambiguous. However, that is not unusual - if you meet technical requirements, then cultural fit is next and you may not always know what you're looking for until you're in person and interact.
- Would you be willing and able to spend a few months in Japan in the near future?
Supply Chain Specialist
The interview process involved questions about supplier performance and 3PLs. Specifically, I was asked about the factors to consider when choosing a 3PL for deliveries and how I'd handle an underperforming supplier. Overall, it was a good experience.
- How would you approach managing a supplier that isn't meeting expectations?
- What are the key considerations when selecting a third-party logistics provider for our deliveries?
Production Supervisor
The interview process involved both online and in-person interviews. Everything was pretty reasonable, and they were kind enough to let me know I passed all the tests. However, they decided to move forward with other candidates, which I guess is a good sign.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses, and how you plan to minimize your weaknesses while maximizing your strengths?
Purchasing Manager
You apply online, then there's an introductory phone screening. After that, an initial phone interview with HR. The final step is an in-person interview with both HR and the hiring managers, who will be multiple interviewers. The whole thing takes about an hour and includes typical interview questions.
- Why are you a good fit for this role?
