Engineering Lead
The interview process was pretty good. I started with a recruiter screen, then met with some people from engineering, HR, and project management leadership. They were all really nice and told me a lot about iSpot's product and what they expected for the role. The recruiter said things were going well and the feedback was positive. After that, I had a chat with the Head of Engineering / CTO, and that's when things seemed to go south. It was a tough discussion with lots of questions about the specifics of my past work. He also talked about what success looks like. The whole conversation made me feel like it would be a really intense place to work, a bit different from the others. While I know there's a job to do, I felt less enthusiastic about the opportunity. Not long after, the recruiter let me know they were moving on with other candidates.

Account Supervisor
They do a very in depth interview. First with HR, then a couple rounds with various team members, which are just casual interviews. Then hiring manager, this is more formal, really got into what the role would be. After that they give you a project to work on, I was given a week to complete the task and present it. So the presentation would have been my 4th interview with them. After they said they would get back to me with in a week, I thought it went well as I delivered those types of presentations all the time, I didn't receive any feedback. I reach out to the HR person three times but no reply. After 4 interviews they didn't even have the professionalism to write an email back saying they were passing. Obviously I got the hint, it was very unprofessional.

Project Manager
A recruiter reached out and said they'd forward my resume to HR and I'd hear back by the end of the week. Two weeks passed, and then I got swamped with emails from someone at iSpotTv. They asked if I preferred morning or afternoon for the interview. I picked morning, but then got hit with over 10 calendar invites with different people on each. I thought it would be just one interview in the morning, but with all the invites, I was confused. I ended up having 3 interviews that ran from early morning to mid-afternoon, with about 6-7 people in total, in groups of 2-3 at a time, lasting 3.5 hours. It was strange they asked AM or PM when it was going to be both anyway. Nobody could clearly explain the job to me; I don't think they knew what they needed. It was super disorganized. Some interviewers left partway through for appointments, mentioning HR like it was a regular thing, which was funny because they've been around for 12+ years and just hired their first HR person days before. This explained a lot when I joined the last interview and thought I was talking to management, but it was actually my competition because they sent us the same meeting link by mistake. It was really awkward waiting for the real person. They are seriously disorganized and chaotic. I'm glad I didn't get a callback considering their terrible reviews.
- How do you handle task management?
Data Scientist
The interview process was pretty standard. They didn't throw any curveballs like LeetCode problems. The main thing they're looking for is that you can think critically. Everyone was really nice, and the company culture seems pretty good. It feels like they value the work you do over just clocking in hours, and they're cool with remote work.
- Can you discuss the covariates pertinent to various situations?
