First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ISPE.
Manager
The interview process was really smooth and well-organized from start to finish. Communication was great throughout, especially from the hiring manager. Honestly, I had a good time with it.
- Was the overall process straightforward?
- Was the process well-planned and communication effective from beginning to end?
- Did the hiring manager communicate effectively throughout the process?
Foundation Manager
The interview process involved a Zoom chat with HR, then another Zoom chat with the Director, and finally an interview with the CEO. The HR chat was quite brief, mostly them giving info about the company and the job. The next interview was longer and more detailed, asking about how I'd handle adaptability, fast-paced settings, stress, and dealing with difficult people, which seemed like a lot of red flags.
- How do you feel about working in a fast-paced environment?
- How adaptable are you?
- What's your approach to dealing with difficult personalities at work?
Creative Services Manager
The interview was a four-way phone call, with three interviewers and myself. It was tricky to tell who was talking, and when they spoke over each other, it was hard to hear. There were long silent gaps between my answers and their next question. I felt like they might have been muting the call to discuss my answers because the phone sounded like it went dead a few times. It was a bit of an awkward process, and I would have preferred to meet face-to-face, especially knowing there would be multiple people on the call.
- Which CRM programs have you worked with?
- Can you tell me about the project management software you've used?
Director
I got a zoom interview pretty quickly after submitting my resume. It was super weird! The HR person just talked the whole time about how great the company and its benefits are. When I asked about the job qualifications, she didn't know much. She mentioned part of the role was with a contractor and she wasn't sure why they didn't want it. Big red flags! I had to prompt her to ask about me, and then I shared my background and why I thought I was a good fit. I also had to ask if she had any questions for me, and then she ran through the usual stuff like dealing with difficult people. It felt like I was interviewing myself. I never heard back, not even a rejection email. Since I got two offers after this and I'm a good interviewer, I'm definitely glad I didn't get this job, especially after seeing the reviews.
- How do you deal with people who are hard to get along with?
